MY RATING FOR IT : 4 1/2 stars

SYNOPSIS

Maggie is a seventeen year old girl who’s had a bad year. She was smart and on track, but then her mom left, her dad is depressed, she’s graduating – barely – and her boyfriend of almost three years dumped her for a college football scholarship. Lately she thinks life is all about hanging on by a thread and is gripping tight with everything she has.

Then she saves the life of Caleb and instantly knows there’s something about him that’s intriguing. But things change when they touch, sparks ignite. Literally.

They imprint with each other and she sees their future life together flash before her eyes. She learns that not only is she his soul mate, and can feel his heartbeat in her chest, but there is a whole other world of people with gifts and abilities that she never knew existed. She herself is experiencing supernatural changes unlike anything she’s ever felt before and she needs the touch of his skin to survive.

Now, not only has her dad come out of his depression to be a father again, and a pain as well, but Caleb’s enemies know he’s imprinted and are after Maggie to stop them both from gaining their abilities and take her from him.

Can Caleb save her or will they be forced to live without each other after just finding one another?

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT IT

Holly Y.A. heaven, this book is like a drug, I loved it. I can’t get enough of it, I don’t know why  took me so long to read it , it has sat on my I-pad for ages, and suddenly I felt the urge to read it , so here it goes.

Maggie is a regular 17 years old teenage girl, with problems like any other girl , well maybe a little more so since her mother left her and her father and he is kind of catatonic in his grief, And to top it all her boyfriend Chad left her to go to college on a football scholarship.

She is graduating early from high school, and after a very disappointing graduation ceremony, she decides to go out with her friend Kyle, who has always had kind of a crush on her.

While she waits for his call to get together, she stop at a red light and meets a very good-looking boy, that almost got crushed by a car, except she saver him and he fall on top of her. So here comes Caleb, the handsome leading men!! (SWOON!!!!). Caleb is in college, he is older than Maggie, but she fell an instant connection to him , and apparently so does him, he decides to walk Maggie to where she is going and suddenly they realize that Caleb and Kyle are cousins (after seeing Maggie with Caleb this is something that doesn’t sit very well with Kyle).

Kyle is ready to go on the date with Maggie, but she feel she has to say good bye to this boy, so she goes to him and after a very small touch they imprint on each other!!!  , because actually Caleb and Kyle are not really Humans they are supernatural and they bond as soul mates instantly, feeling desperately for one another.

Their hearts beat together and they can’t stand to be separated, I mean it actually hurts to be apart, so this is insta-love in its finest form!!

But obviously as soon as they start to kind of date (leaving aside the soul mates for ever and stuff) all hell breaks loose, because her dad’ suddenly is very interested in her well being, and he friend Becks and ex boyfriend Chad are not very helpful, neither is Kyle who is actually hurting over Maggie and Caleb’s relationship, and add to the mix a near clan that wants to hurt Maggie and Caleb’s family.

So this book is all about the discovery of a new young love and how to deal with very strong urges and feeling for one another, a very deep passion and the changes that all this brings to their lives, especially Maggie’s.

Well I certainly love the Character and really found the story to be so entertaining; it was a joy to read. I’m totally reading the next books, I need my Caleb fix!!

It’s so great to  read a good Y.A book that grave me this feeling of giddiness  (the last one  was the Obsidian series) and even tough this kind of books obviously are a lot more tamed that the regular books I read , I love them just as much.
