MY THOUGHTS ABOUT IT

*Copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

Well this book was on my TBR list for a loooooong time ,  I started it like a month ago and after a few pages I was kind of put of it , maybe I was in a wrong mood or something , so I gave it another try a few weeks ago and let me tell you … it was not half bad !!

It started a little slow but pick up the pace fairly quickly.

The story revolves around Andi Callaway a girl from a small costal town who dreams about becoming a writer, her dreams may become true when a dream summer job is available with the very infamous Ford Delaney, who is in hiding in the little town and needs a research assistant.

All is on it’s way until she realizes that she must compete for the position with  her best friends , and both of them are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job (for very different reasons).

Andi wants this job and fights for it, eventually developing some form a friendship with Ford, and Ford feel the same (or maybe more) for her. But there are many obstacles in their way of getting to know each other, especially Andi’s very self centered boyfriend, and her friends, and they could stop her from getting the chance to get an agent or publish, or maybe even stop her from something more important that’s missing in her life, something that she seemed to have found with Ford Delaney.

The character of Andi was a fun one to read, a little ambivalent at times, but it was good, Ford was very swoony, but I wish the author would have explored more of his life, that at times seemed to be so interesting and full of excitement and tragedy, but it’s all only mention as a light commentary and not developed during the book.

The friends ( if you could call them that )  where a bit unnerving at times, they where not very friendly and very unsupportive of Andi ,  Rachel was a good stress factor to the story , but her reasons where so shallow that sometimes I just wanted to smack her !!!   The other friend was kind of blah, even though she was supposed to have a very tragic background I just couldn’t connect with that part of the story, it was to lightly address.

The thing is that I really liked the couple in this book and I was routing for them (I totally dislike Andi’s boyfriend) I don’t mind a bit of cheating when the boyfriend is such a douche as this one was!!!

The thing that actually made me give this book only 3 1/2 stars instead of 4  was the ending, because it was flowing so amazingly , and it was very descriptive , you just knew that there was going to be a happy ending , but it was to brusque to sudden and to fast , so fats that it left me spinning and I felt I needed a little bit more closure to the story  but a good book none the less .
