When Sarah “Red” Ryder loses her job as an art critic for a Boston newspaper, she’s brokenhearted. Worse than that? She’s broke. Her boyfriend recently left her, so she’s stuck paying her hefty apartment rent alone. After two months unemployed, there’s no money left. With no immediate family to turn to, Red reaches out to her estranged grandmother, a reclusive writer living on an island off the coast of Charleston. Several days later, Red receives $30,000 and an invitation to visit.

James Wolfe is not Red’s grandmother – but he’s the only person waiting for her at the boat dock. Red has something he needs. He won’t take “no” for an answer, and he doesn’t mind screwing her over to get it. He lost his conscience six years ago, when he went off the grid. Since then, life is about him – and the renowned oil paintings he does under the mysterious pseudonym “W.”

Until the moment he sees her. Then Red is all he wants. And Wolfe will have her – thoroughly.

These books were novellas, and very entertaining ones, they grab my attention at the start and never let me go.

The story is about a young journalist that has lost her job, her boyfriend and mostly all her money, she finds her self at the point of starvation , when she reluctantly tries to contact her only living relative, a  famous grandmother that she’s never met probably because she never look for her.

The grandmother makes contact and she goes to visit her in an island, but when she arrives there’s a man waiting for her ( a beautiful man)  he’s called James Wolfe ( but she doesn’t know this) and the lusty feelings are  undeniable between them , so much so that he takes her in the boat and she doesn’t protests ( at least not at first)

“I press my dick against her.

In the second book they pick up where we left of in the first book , right after he takes her in the boat , and then  they get to the island , and she realizes that the grandmother is dead and was he who contacted her , Red ( the girl) is very vulnerable and doesn’t know what to do , should she run for it or stay and figure him out.

She is most certainly attracted to him and they share amazing scenes together , so she stays; also she is broke and has nowhere to go

red and Wolfe

“I think you need a door that locks from the outside if you want to be sure you don’t fall legs-spread on my cock.”

“My sex-starved inner horn dog wags her tail.”

Wolfe has many secrets that he is holding, but none more damaging than murder…

The next book was hotter than all hell!!!! , Red finally understand who James really is and what happened to him, and she begins to see how troubled he is and how unfairly he was treated.

There are some super steamy scenes (the tree scene) and we get to see more of race0s story from his memories and flash backs. You should know that this one has a brutal cliffhanger that got me screaming for the last book.

“I don’t want to talk about art, Red. I don’t want to hear you talk about it, either. What I want is for you to suck my dick.”

What a domineering motherfucker. Who does he think he is?”

The last book was as hot as the other but there was a lot more action in this one , and some very unsavory characters.

All secrets are out, and some revelations left me in a daze, I just did not see that shit coming

We get the actual truth about his wife’s murder (cookie… what an ugly name!!!).

“You’re my little fuck doll. Don’t forget it.”

This book is super fun super fast read, and scorching hot, Miss James knows her stuff ladies!!!  And I’m her newest of funs for life!!!
