Jake Undone (Jake #1) by Penelope Ward

BOOK:  Jake Undone (Jake #1)

Nina Kennedy was alive…but not living…until she met him.

Planes, trains, heights…you name it, Nina was afraid of it and led a sheltered life ruled by irrational fears and phobias. When she moves to Brooklyn for nursing school, that life is turned upside down, as she develops an intense but unwanted attraction to her gorgeous roommate, who’s pierced, tattooed and just happens to be the smartest person she’s ever met.

Behind Jake Green’s rough exterior and devilish smile, lies a heart of gold. He makes it his mission to change Nina’s outlook on life. When he agrees to tutor her, they forge a bet and the stakes are high as Jake forces Nina to face her demons. He just wasn’t expecting to fall hard for her in the process.

What Nina doesn’t realize, is that Jake has been living his own private hell. Once he drops a bombshell, will their love survive it?

This book was a good one for me even though at times I wanted to punch some of the characters; I mean like kick them in the head!!!

Even as I didn’t really like that cover , it said nothing about the book , so be a better person than me a don’t judge a book by its cover !!

It got me so emotional at times, I felt Jakes suffering with him thru out the pages, but at other times it was so sweet, and surprisingly steamy too, that goes to show you that the quiet ones are the worst !!! (jijiji)

Nina is a small town girl, full of anxieties and quirks, Jake is the small brother of our Gemini book heroine, and (do you remember her?)  Intelligent super dreamy, tattooed bad boy genius, but there’s something about him, one just knows that there’s something there ….  And he won’t get close to Nina.

They develop this huuuuuuge attraction that none can denied, but still he’s determined to just be friends and help her overcome her issues with control. That is until the attraction is too much and everything explodes … and I mean like really!!!

This book is soooooo good!!! I don’t want to tell u anything that may ruin it for u …. So I won’t.

I will just tell u that u needs to read it like ASAP!!! Cause it’s a mayor one and if u don’t your missing out ….

It’s a sweet sexy full of love and heart ache story , there’s so much more to this characters than what we thought at the beginning….

Board Resolution (Knights of the Board Room #1)

Savannah was groomed from birth to take the reins of her father’s manufacturing empire. Her emotional armor is as tough as the steel used in her factories, and nobody is allowed past it. Business partner Matt realizes that the key to entry is to command her submission. Calling on the unique sensual talents of his four-man management team, he engineers an aggressive and erotic takeover, determined to rescue the woman he loves from the steel cage she’s manufactured around her heart. Masked and lost to the sensations the team arouses in her, Savannah is theirs, at least for this one night.

I have to confess something, I got this book fort free and I thought it was going to be a waste of time!!  But  since I just can’t seem to pass a free book I read it anyway and  boy was I wrong  on that one !!!

I can’t say this has been my favorite book of the year , I do can say that I looooove it , this is a bit old , but since I like to mix new arrivals with old ones that I haven’t read , a had  a really good time reading it !!

The pace may have been a little fast but, it worked for the kind of book that it was.

This is my first book by this author, and I clearly realized the themes are very graphic and heavy on the BDSM side, so if you don’t like that type of thing it may be a little too much, considering that the main character are in a single room and the Woman in question is tied up for 80% of the story … so.. Yeah …is that kind of story.

There was a lot of romance too, just so you know, so don’t think that there are no tender love scenes.

“Rule One, the first and last rule you’ll ever need, Savannah, to get through anything, Are you paying attention? ……..
I love you.”

Well the story goes something like this … Savannah is a very successful business woman , beautiful and very accomplished, but she’s also very lonely.

Matt is a ruthless business man , he’s used to getting his way on everything and has some very interesting ways of making that happen, and Matt wants Savannah , so he set up a very special meeting to get her to realized they are meant for each other.

With the help of his trusted friends and colleges he’s planed to change her mind and convince her of a life that she’s never let her self have.

“This is the way it is for a man in love. You’re in control of my destiny now. You’re a goddess to me, but you’re also terrifyingly mortal. I couldn’t stand losing you.”

Like I said before, if you don’t like this kind of book you may be a bit put of, because there’s a lot of non consensual sex scenes (not really non consensual just a bit pushed! ) and  a lot of ménage scenes , bondage and the works.

It was a fun very fast read so if you enjoy this kind of story’s you should give Joey W. Hill a  try for sure .

Gemini by Penelope Ward….

BOOK: Gemini by Penelope Ward

MY RATING FOR IT: 4 stars

Diner waitress Allison Abraham had no idea her mundane life was about to dramatically change the day she serves a devastatingly handsome customer.

Allison is immediately captivated by the mysterious man who stared through her soul with his electric blue eyes. After he abruptly leaves the restaurant, she can’t get him out of her head.

She has no idea that he had actually come on a mission to find her.

Cedric Callahan wasn’t expecting to fall in love at first sight with the pretty waitress he’d set out to find. In fact, she was the last woman on Earth he should be having feelings for. But his selfish heart had other plans. Feeling compelled to know her before revealing himself, he makes her believe their meetings are coincidental.

After a passionate romance ignites, Cedric’s lies and secrets are finally revealed, changing both of their lives forever.

This book was on my to Read list for a loooong time , I don’t know why , probably some review or something , but I had forgot about it , so the other day I found it in my kindle and read it.

I was a little worried that y might find it silly or cheesy (some critics said it was really cheesy!) but actually I like it, like a lot … more than I thought I would, the story was sweet, easy to read and entertaining, the love story was great and the twist I have to admit that was kind of a surprise to me, I thought about everything except that!! I never so it coming which was great!!

I did connected with the characters , and I found the leading man kind of dreamy and very swoony , the times when he was suffering where written very good , I liked them , I felt them ….  It was nothing new but (maybe I’m oversensitive!!) it was good stuff

Buuuut actually the Ending, I mean the actual ending, like the last two pages!! They where awful I mean it was going great and then the butterfly thing!! I have no words for it …

I just cringe a little … but all in all it was a good read, I actually enjoy it,

And I’m really looking forward to reading the next book about Jake, it sound pretty great too…

Rome (Marked Men #3) by Jay Crownover

BOOK: Rome by Jay Crownover

Fun and fearless, Cora Lewis knows how to keep her tattooed “bad boy” friends at the Marked in line. But beneath all that flash and sass is a broken heart. Cora won’t let herself get burned again. She’s waiting to fall in love with the perfect man—a baggage-free, drama-free guy ready for commitment. Then she meets Rome Archer.

Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He’s stubborn, rigid, and bossy. And he’s returned from his final tour of duty more than a little broken. Rome’s used to filling many roles: big brother, doting son, supersoldier—but none of those fit anymore. Now he’s just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the dark demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer through it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes a blinding flash of color in a sea of gray.Perfect may not be in the cards, but perfectly imperfect could just last forever . ..

Well, this book restore my faith in Jay Cronower , because for me at least Jet was kind of .. meh!! , so I was a bit put out by the series .what a huge mistake!!!! This one was great.

Rome is, our beloved Rule’s older brother, but he’s not been the same for quite a while , ever since the final tour in the Army . something’s of and everyone is upset about it , because he’s not the fun loving guy that he used to be , and now he’s being  kind of an ass,

I mean I get it, he’s scared by war, that’s pretty understandable, but he’s also very hurt about the lies that where uncover in the other book about Rule and Shaw.

Everyone in the group of friends is trying to be understanding, but spunky, hell racer Cory has had enough with his somber attitude and his mean comments towards her friends, ( she is a very small , tattoo pixie that is  very protective of her friends), so she puts him in his place and they get in this huge fight.

“I could’ve punch him in the nose, but there wasn’t a stepladder anywhere handy.”

Cora has her own troubles, because she got her heart broken by her fiancé, when he was cheating on her for so many years while she was picturing a perfect life together. Soooo obviously she has some trust issues, and she’s not going to settle for anything less than mister perfect!!

“It was hard to trust someone enough to let them all the way in when I didn’t think they deserved to be there. -Cora”

Well as faith will have it Rome and Cora eventually find them selves in a position where Rome is in need of Cora’s help , and actually Cora finds her self kind of attracted to the guy ( who wouldn’t he’s yummy , all big skilled muscles and piercing blue eyes to die for !! )

Eventually Rome realizes that she is a very different kind of girl and after a hell of a night of steaming passion they star to see a bit more of a brighter future.

“The fact that so many of my friends were stumbling headfirst into their happily-ever-after gave my tired heart hope that I couldn’t be far behind.”

They are such great characters; I find that I felt very happy when they started to have a sort of relationship, they are so opposite but so similar in many things, but they are both very afraid of letting go of their personal fears…

This book was such a great one to read, I love it, and got me all juiced up to read the next one on the series

I loved them as a couple and I love all the stuff that they had to get trough together

“This, Cora … this is as perfect as two people can be”

This one was a sweet and sexy one and I’m eager to get going with Nash!!

Love and Lists (Chocoholics #1) by Tara Sivec

Love and lists

BOOK:Love and Lists by Tara Sivec

Love and Lists is the first book in the Chocolate Lovers spinoff – Chocoholics: The foul-mouthed offspring tell their stories.

Twenty-five-year-old Gavin Ellis has always had the love and support of his family ever since he was a little boy and couldn’t stop talking about his penis. He’s also always had their unsolicited advice and uncanny knack of embarrassing him at all costs. Now that he’s an adult and trying to convince the love of his life to love him back, things haven’t changed very much from when he was younger.

When Gavin’s best friend Tyler suggests he make a to-do list of items that will ensure he wins the girl, Gavin is one-hundred-percent on board: after a few six packs.

After puking in the shrubs, a bad experience with Viagra, a Sex-Ed course gone wrong, and a slew of other mishaps courtesy of his family and friends, Gavin is pretty sure this list will be the death of him.

Sometimes, trying to make someone love you with a list isn’t always the best idea. Especially when “Show her your penis” is the first “to-do” item…

This series is a favorite of mine, well this is actually kind of a spin of series, but the character are the same, but now it’s the kids that are getting in to trouble!!}

“You’re probably also wondering how in the hell I can possibly be twenty-five years old when just yesterday I was four. I know, it’s a tough pill to swallow. I’m not a foul-mouthed, cute little kid anymore. I’m now a foul-mouthed, cute adult.”

It seemed predestined to happen; one of Lisa’s girls was bound to get interested in the adorable Gavin!! , what can I say , Gavin was by far one of the best things in the Chocolate lover’s series , he was so funny I can’t even begin to tell you how much he made crack up!

(You should really read these books!!)

Well in this story, Gavin is 24 years old and is working in the family business ( sex toys and bake goods) he’s very happy with his Job , despite the awkwardness of selling stuff that are named after her mother ( funny!)

But Gavin has a secret, he’s been in love with his best friend Charlotte (best friend of Claire‘s daughter) and has absolutely no idea what to do. They are very close, but he is to afraid to tell her about his feeling, scared of being rejected.

I’m like a fucking dog in heat when it comes to her. My poor penis wants to hump her leg and she just wants to be friends. I feel bad for my penis. He’s had a rough life. I love my penis and he’s totally getting the shaft. Ha! See what I did there?

Charlotte has a new boyfriend (super funny character) and Gavin is determined to do something about it this time, because he’s crazy for her and doesn’t want anybody else.

Soooo he and his friend Tyler (who was amazing and made me spit my coffee laughing) make this list of things he has to do to win Charlotte over and convince her of his love for her or at least recognizer that she has feelings for him also.

They star to do this entire crazy things to get her attention, and everything  always back fires , and even as he thinks nobody knows about his feeling for Charlottes he soon realize that everyone know!! Everyone except for Charlotte her self.

Claire and Liz are putting together wedding arrangements and dreaming of granny names while poor Gavin is desperate to get Charlottes attention.

There are so many funny things ( the bushes thing and the Viagra thing , and

All the older character wants to put some input on how he should win her over, and that is so funny to read!!

I have to say something about Tyler, because I just find him to be sooooo funny and I can’t wait to read more about him (don’t want to spill the beans about that) but I look forward to that one!!

Shut up about my mother.’
‘No can do. She’s going to be mine one day. You should just start calling me dad now,’ he says nonchalantly.
‘I’m going to punch you right in the ball sack if you don’t shut up,’ I warn him.
‘Don’t take that tone with me, young man.'” -Tyler & Gavin

“I roofied you because I wanted you naked …. and afraid, ” Tyler says again in a sinister voice

On the other hand there’s Charlotte and she has some things she is hiding to , but you have to read ti to find out !!

I really like this one and I have to say that it renewed my lost enthusiasm about this series ( I kind of lost it a little after Troubles and Treat ) but I actually want to read the next one really bad , and it about Eva who I loved , because she was such a little bitch !!!

“Ava is like a praying mantis on crack. She will not only chew off his head after she has sex with him, she will have sex with his headless body afterwards and then light it on fire.”

So I really recommend this one to the people who want light easy funny read, no hard dramas in this one just light entertainment and easy laughs. And there’s sweet sweet Gavin which I just adore!!

What’s not to like about it …

Leave Me Breathless (Ross Siblings #3) by Cherrie Lynn

BOOK: Leave Me Breathless (Ross Siblings #3)

Leather and lace don’t strike sparks. Or do they?

It’s Valentine’s Day, but Macy Rodgers isn’t feeling the love. Aside from a torrid, one-night fling in a backseat a few months back, her love life has been sorely lacking, but fortunately she has devious friends who feel like playing Cupid. Wouldn’t they be shocked to learn that the match they’ve made for her is the same one that steamed up the back of that ’69 GTO…

Seth “Ghost” Warren has just returned to town after an extended absence. Between his grandmother’s failing health, his job as a tattoo artist, his band’s gigs, and a crazy ex that won’t leave him alone, he’s stretched thin. Cautious cowgirl Macy is the last thing he needs thrown into the mix.

She’s all country, he’s all heavy metal—and Macy knows that if anyone can propel her out of her rut, it’s Seth. But when their worlds collide, it’s anyone guess if they’ll survive with their hearts intact.

Warning: Contains explicit sex, graphic language, road trips, troublemaking exes, emotional baggage, and an unconventional but exceptionally hot hero tatted and pierced for your pleasure…

This review was a long time coming, because I read this book like a year and a half ago, but a few days ago I re-read it a got swept away by how much I love this book ( the best one in the series t me).

First of this author is golden to me, because I like everything that she writes, and she just keeps topping her self.

I read the pre quell to this (a little novella called Breath me in) which was a great starting point to understand the nature of the dynamic of Macy’s and Ghost’s relationship.

They start as a mean to have some fun, but very fast they become something else.

Macy is broken princess that loves to nag to everybody about their life , but is very scared about taking the rains of her one life , all because she had a very devastating accident that took all her confidence away.

Ghost is a tortured soul that hides under the façade of thought pierce and tattoo no nonsense satiric funny guy, but both of them are looking for something more in their life and neither can believe that they may be good for each other.

But they are, and they star to see each other more frequently, Macy let’s her self go with Seth, and Seth found something that he never thought he could find in her.

They are discovering new depths between the two and they love it.

Let me tell that it doesn’t get much Hotter that Ghost/Seth , he is a dirty talker  dream come true , with his tattoo  body , pierce equipment , and hard language!! I just LOOOOOOVE HIM!! And felt him all the way to my tingly places while I was reading it, (oh lord!!)

The love scenes are steamy and very sexy , the character are a joy to read and the conflict between them got a bit of acid reflux at times , because I sooo wanted to clock them at times !!

But there where times whe I found them to be so deam funny and sexy I mean I really live them as a couple…

“Are you all right, Macy? You looked a little flushed”
Just as Macy began to nod quickly, Ghost swigged his beer and jerked his head in her direction. “She looks that way because I have my hand up her skirt.”

‘Macy, queen of my universe, I beseechingly request you place your sweetest lips upon my manhood and make it your lollipop.’

But I love them all the same, they are so opposite that one can totally doubt that they can pull through, but I was hopping that they could.

This book was so good I mean it totally blew me away, by how much I love it , and how much I want to know more form them , they where so sweet and loving

I so totally want to be Macy; I think Seth is like my ideal guy … so pint me in that direction any time!!!

“You are the best I’ve ever had. If all we do from now on is straight missionary sex at eight p.m. on Tuesday nights of months that start with J, you’ll still be the best I’ve ever had.”

I’m sorry to say that after this book I was like totally Brian Who?? And Seth became my absolute N° 1 Ross Sibling Character and it will be forever!!!!!

I just love him!!!!!!!

I want you to know Macy, no matter what happens, I’ll never forget this. I’ve got your back for anything you ever need me for. Ever. No questions asked.”

… (Swoon)

There was quite a bit of drama going on this book, some family drama and some girl drama, which was very fun too.

“Oh, she took a swing, I
threatened to shoot her…typical girl
“Holy shit.” He stared at her in
absolute awe. “You gotta be fucking
with me.”
She put her hands on her hips.
“Well, that’s what it was going to
take, right? You couldn’t very well
rough her up or threaten her—that
would be frowned upon. Me,
however… I will make her spit
teeth, and I doubt many people
would blame me.”

All and all a great book and an AMAZING character (loooove Ghost!!!)

Pulse – The Complete Series (Pulse #1-4) by Deborah Bladon

BOOK: Pulse – The Complete Series  by Deborah Bladon

Jessica Roth dumped her boyfriend, moved to New York and wanted desperately to start her new life off with a bang – a literal mind-blowing, soul-shaking night of pure, raw, memory making sex.

She thought her one time chance encounter with attorney, Nathan Moore, in a hotel room would become a jumping point for her exciting, single and adventurous life in the city.
One night turned into two, into four, and into more – always at the same place, always at the same time – no last names, no personal details, and absolutely no complications.
What Jessica doesn’t count on is that in Nathan’s world boundaries are made to be pushed.
He wanted her in ways he promised he never would. She wanted him in ways she couldn’t admit.
When their lives ultimately collide outside the walls of the hotel room, Jessica is forced to face the truth about the only man who has ever made her pulse race and her body ache with unadulterated pleasure.

PULSE – Part Two
Nathan promised Jessica just one thing during those nights in his hotel room – sex unlike anything she had experienced before. She thought it would be simple, but with a man like Nathan, that’s not possible. He was complex, determined and too tempting to resist.
When her life intersects with his in the most unexpected way, she realizes that fate and chance don’t exist in his world. When Nathan wants something, or someone, he’ll have it, regardless of the cost.
As Jessica confronts the past she ran away from, the present that consumes her and what it all means for her future, one brief moment changes absolutely everything.
There is no one who can shield her from what happens next.

PULSE – Part Three
The story continues…
Jessica wanted to believe Nathan was a changed man. The lust filled promises he made in bed are no match for the reality that she’s now holding in the palm of her hand. Sex drives men like Nathan Moore. She suspected it, then experienced it and now there’s absolutely no denying it.
She knows what the right thing to do is. He knows that he’s never met anyone like her.
Jessica struggles to forget him as Nathan’s desire for her consumes him. His compulsive need to possess her pushes him in ways that will change them both forever.
Just how far is Nathan Moore willing to go to have the one woman he claims he can’t live without?

PULSE – Part Four
The conclusion to The Pulse Series…
Jessica Roth thought she’d found the one man who could fulfill her in every way. He was gorgeous, controlling, amazing in bed and said everything that she desperately wanted to hear. That was, until she heard him say the one thing she never suspected was true.
Nathan Moore says he has his reasons for doing the things that break her heart. She knows that she can’t continue to live in a world where nothing makes sense.
As Jessica weaves her way through a maze of lies, half-truths and coincidences, she begins to see everyone in her world for who they really are. Old friends become the enemy, new friends become allies and the one man she can’t be close to, becomes the only person who can give her what she really needs.
They promised each other there would be no complications. It’s a promise neither of them can keep.

The Blurb say’s  the general idea of what this story is about , I just wanted to say that , since the first book that I reed from Deborah Blandon I’ve become a huge fan , but to this day I’m definitely sure that Pulse is my favorite story so far .

This one was so raw, and so hot that I was red up to my ears… I kid you not, who knew that Nathan had it in him!!! I certainly didn’t.

He seemed clear cut and calm as a second character, but as a leading men he was sex on legs, I mean he was of the charts HOT.

Let’s not forget about Jessica, oh my my my … she was very uninhibited (I thought that the Alexa character was the raciest of them all, clearly I was mistaken)

This book is very graphic and at times very sensual in it’s description, but other times a bit more harsh, I got the constant feeling that Nathan was more than a little bit obsessed with sex, because he seemed kind of desperate in some chapters I mean it was a lot, but it was so god… it got me all tingly (in the best way)   while reading it.

I think 3  books  would have been enough, because it started to get a bit repetitive after a while , but I’m not complaining , I’m just stating a point ,  I’m a self confessed  smut lover so bring the chapters on and on !!!

I mean we are not talking poetic dialog and sweet nothings here, this is the smuttiest smut and it gets the job done in a gooood way I may ad, so there you go, that’s a winner in my eyes in all the ways that it counts.

This book is by far Deborah Blandon at her best, I love it, and to think that I used to find the Nathan Character a bit boring in the first series “Obsessed” who knew right?!

They are determined to make it all work, design a plan toward destiny, and make everything right again for themselves and their family.

This review is about the last 3 books in the series at the same time so that’s why it’s kind of patched together….  (Best to do them all at once instead of dragging along)

Dang it’s so goooooooood , I cant believe how much I’m liking this series , in this one they go to California to take some time away from the other clan that is making their lives hell , but apparently hell chases them down there ,along with apprehensive brothers and jealous cousins.

Maggie and Caleb are getting stronger and more daring in their relationship as they are becoming closer and more comfortable with their feelings and each other.

This book was super fun to read and the other characters in the book took more of a center stage so we could get to know them a little more.

And Caleb … oh Caleb, he was as swoon worthy as ever, (so sweet and perfect)

The world of this series keeps getting better and better and expanding, so I’, looking forward to the next installment.

Ohhh the only thing was that the cliffhanger was TERRIBLE… I’m going to have to keep reading, there’s just no other way around it…

In the third book they are already in London , and Marla is stirring some shit , cause she is trying slander Maggie’s character and that way she is deflecting from the Thompson’s plan to get ride of her for ever.

But Maggie and Caleb know what there are up to , they just need to fond a way to get everybody else to believe them and support them.

Maggie just wants to be good at the Visionary role , and do right by her people , but she just wants to be treated as a normal person , which is very much dislike by the council

Maggie is getting better and better at  understanding her powers and where they come from , so that makes her much more able to stand in front of her family and be the leader they want her to be.

There’s a lot more action in this book and that made it one of the most entertaining one of the whole lot.

The last book so far was a  great book , but I must say it’s  not my favorite , but it was fun to read and it wrap up the hole story nicely , Caleb is still swoon worthy and Becks which is an important character at the beginning of this story  is still a bit of a tool as a friend.

The different couples all have their day in the sun, and the Thompsons are still and issue , which proves to be quite challenging at some point.

The relationship between Caleb and Maggie is a strong as it can be , an Kyle finally is less annoying , I don’t want to give any more away , but even as the story is wrap up nicely it felt just a little flat at the end for me , I don’t know … I just … there’s something missing maybe ??

Well … all in all this series is very good and if you like Y.A this one is very entertaining…

This part was a little steamier than the others, but still pretty tame (which is good, considering that this is for younger readers) … and as much as I like it the final book let me a little… mmm I don’t know , but I definitely recommend it , it’s just that maybe I was expecting more of a BANG !!! or something,  but it’s a  great  read none the less.

Well this one was hard to figure out , the thing about this book was , that I was kind of stalling to read it and , finally I decided that  it was time , so I started it knowing very little about it , and even less about the author , but it seemed nice enough so I went for it .

At first I was kind of put out, because I found it to be a bit slow , but I decided to follow through  and I’m so glad I did !!! because once I dived in to the story I could  really see , I mean really see the intricate and beautiful way the story was told by this author.

this is certainly not my first BDSM book , not by a long shot , but it most certainly is the first one where I feel that it was so truthfully told , it didn’t feel fake , it felt like it was so real , and the characters where real people , with real lives and not this made up personas , that sometimes are the main characters in this stories.

The writing in this book was amazing ,it was nicely written, the flow of it was very smooth, it was a joy to read.

The characters where amazing , the character of India Burke was full of depth and so many levels to her , it was so interesting to get in her head and figure  the reasons of her craving and found out why was that she felt so close of to the rest of the world.

The male characters where great, Criss was a breath of fresh air , such tender but firm male, very different from what one is used to see in this tips of book.

The sex scenes where hot , not necessarily scorching hot , but enough hotness to keep the reader interesting.

The character lead full complicated lives and that a I found to be a plus for the story.

I don’t want to give the plot away because the story is better to be discovered by each one of the readers , it’s not full of surprises , but I think in its simplicity it’s the key to the story.

The only thing that got me worked up was the terrible ending , that cliffhanger was brutal , and now I’m desperate to know what’s going t happened.

all in all it was a very nice read to me.

Leo-leos chance

BOOK: Leo &Leo’s Chance by Mia Sheridan

Or is he keeping a secret about what his connection to Leo is really all about and why Leo disappeared all those years ago?

This beautiful story , is about two kids that were dealt very bad hands in life, and met each other on the foster care system, after a lot of years of different kind of abuse. They form a strong  bond of friendship , that evolves in to a very strong kind of  love , the kind that nobody ever showed them in their life.

Leo & Evie

We met in the first foster care home each of us were sent to and he’s my best friend in the world, the boy I’ve grown to love.

Leo is very protective of Evie, and Evie loves Leo fervently. but as usually goes in this kind of stories they have to go different way , because when Leo is 15 and Evie is 14 he  get’s adopted by a wealthy family and even as he promises Evie that he will stay in touch , and asks her to wait for him.

“I’m going to kiss you now, Evie, and when I do, it’s going to mean that you’re mine. I don’t care how far away from each other we are. You. Are. Mine. I’ll wait for you. And I want you to wait for me. Promise me you won’t let anyone else touch you. Promise me you’ll save yourself for me.”

He never does contact her  , leaving  a heart-broken Evie to fend for her self.Eventually she tries to move on with her life , but he’s always on the back of her mind, his first and only love, her beautiful boy.

8 years go by and suddenly she feels someone is following her , but she doesn’t know ho he is , she only knows that he’s beautiful and a stranger. eventually he presents him self as Jake , Leo’s friend , who was sent by Leo to check on her as a dying wish after he was in a car accident that took his life. The news is very hard on Evie , but she tries to mask it as best as she can.

Evie feels a strange connection to Jake , even do they are from very different background , because he’s a rich  business men , who had everything Evie never even dream of growing up, and she is a maid at a hotel , but they start to get to know each other and  they develop a very strong connection that get even stronger in the physical sense.

Jake is crazy for her , he wants to get to know her , be with her all the time , he wants her to know him , but he has many secrets, and there are people who want to separate them .

“I will prove to you that forever is not just a word, not just a measurement of unending time, but that forever is a place where I will treasure your heart.

This book  was a very easy to read , even though the subject that is dealt with ( the reason why Leo  stayed away) was kind of hard .

The writing was so good that you could relate to the feeling that this characters where describing, The flashbacks  where amazing , some of the sweetest parts where from the relationship of young Evie and Leo.

The amazing epilogue gave a huge grin a I felt so happy for this couple , it made me feel so good after reading so much hardship.

On the other side there’s” Leo’s Chance ” is a book about the same storytaht we read in “Leo” but  told in Leo’s point of view, and it was great !!! because it’s not the same story told all over again , it’s the story that we didn’t get to see on Leo.

He get to know what happened to Leo after he was adopted, what his mother was like , and how he became the closed of men that he talked about in the first book. we also get a glimpse in to his feeling for Evie , and how strong those feelings are , we get to see the road to recovery after his accident and a lot of other situations that are only skimmed on the first book.

“I realize now that there are a lot of paths in life. Some we choose and some are chosen for us. I was dealt some shit, just like a lot of us are, and I made a lot of poor choices too. I have to take responsibility for those. But the only thing we’ll get from trying to figure out where another path would have taken us are questions there are no answers to, and heartbreak that can’t be healed. Regardless of how we got there, all any of us can do is move forward from where we are.”

The best of all was the AMAZING epilogue in this book , I can honestly say that it left me the biggest grin on my face …

Leos Chance

This where the first books of Mia Sheridan that I’ve read , but most certainly wont be the last , I really liked the way she writes , it makes it effortless to read , it’s very smooth like , I like it a lot. it’s not full on drama and kick in the gut angst  , just  enough to keep the story interesting and left us hanging on,  and even as much as I like my drama and angst , sometimes we need a book that leaves us with a happy feeling  and a calmed after glow when we finished it , and this one was just that kind of book.
