BOOK:  Only Trick by Jewel E. Ann

“Don’t Look Back in Anger”

In one night, I lost five years of my life. Here’s what I know …
I was homeless.
I’m a recovering drug addict.
My inked skin crawls from lustful eyes.
I have a serious aversion to women.
My gay partner is a home wrecker.
I own a gun and I’m a damn good shot.
I’m a makeup artist, but it’s an insult to my talent.
I’ve never wanted to possess anything except my Ducati … until I met Darby.
Now here’s what I know since that day in the ER when she pieced me back together … nothing—but a few random thoughts.
My new “friend” is distracting, clingy, and obsessed with acronyms, emojis, and phrases like “breakfast soul mates.”
I didn’t want to like her, but she crawled under my skin and swallowed me whole. Now we’re best friends and she’s my new addiction. I’d drink her from a shot glass, snort her up my nose, or inject her into my veins if I could. What I won’t do … is ever tell her that.
She doesn’t know me … I don’t know me. When those missing years come back, I think she will hate me … I think I will hate me.
My parents named me Patrick Roth, and this is my story.

Very sweet and sexy book, trick a makeup artist (a guy makeup artist) befriends Darby a shy medical assistant who definitely notices al off tricks attributes!!

He’s a wonderful makeup artist, he’s very secretive and he’s a really hot hot guy, that is unattainable cause of his sexual preferences and because he obviously has a deep dislike for the opposite sex , so whats not to like !

This story of friendship, love, lost and second chances, was a fun one to read , the love story was very sweet , it did felt  fast at the beginning , it got a bit more developed in the middle part and the end was very rushed a little to picture perfect for me,<<cause the explanation given to trick of what happened to his parent felt a little week , I mean i would have wanted to know why they lefts me to fend for myself>>

The big reveal was not as terrible as I thought it could be, I guess I have an overactive imagination…

But it was a very nice book, it was very easy to get in to it, and trick was a very delectable character Darby was a bit iffy to me, she was supposed to be really shy, but sometimes she was very forthcoming, she felt all over the place at times, and to tell you the truth I’m not down with the so called, nerdy ugly girls that suddenly get all their acne cleared and under the clothes have goddess body all of a sudden!! That kind of puts me off a little.

Buuuuuut the story was really super sweet and trick was amazing, I really like him.

Well this was a very worthy read that’s for sure, i wouldn’t mind finding me a tatted hunky guy who could do wonder with my make up!!

Daimon (Covenant 0.5)- Half-Blood (Covenant #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

BOOK:  Daimon (Covenant 0.5)– Half-Blood (Covenant #1)

The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals–well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1: Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she’s crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn’t her biggest problem–staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

Like a good little reader that I am , I started with the prequel of the first of the Covenant books , cause I have heard that it was a good introduction for everything related to the Covenant world and Alexandria’s world too.

It was a good choice cause it gave me better understanding to where Alex was coming from and what she went through before the start of the first book.

Alex is not a normal girl, she’s not even a human girl, she is a HALF BLOOD (half human half Hematoi) and she feels completely alienated from the human world she now lives in. her mother took her from the covenant 3 year ago and nothing has been the same since. She doesn’t know who or what are they running from and her mom, though a loving mother is very secretive about the reasons why they had to leave the only place they ever knew as home, the place that Alex loved and where she was doing her training.

They live around mortal now and she tries to live like any normal 17 years old  teenage, but after sneaking out one night with her friends and yet another disappointing night ,her world changes completely and she finds herself alone and  on the run from Daimons, the very thing she is supposed to be trained to hunt.

After that first sneak peek, we get to know right away that Alex will be a strong character cause under a lot of difficult circumstances she keeps being resilient, but the Diamons are too much for an alone and untrained girl, BUUUUUUT here comes the loooovley swoon worthy Aiden!!!!

He was Alex’s first crush when she was a teenage girl living at the covenant, he’s a pure though and pure does don’t mingle with Half’s, that’s a big NO NO!!!

“ALEX: “How come you smile when you knock me down?”

AIDEN: “It’s the little things that make me happy.”

I keep forgetting how much i like Jennifer L. Armentrout’s writing, I mean it’s not Obsidian which is one of my Y.A. all-time fav, but the characters where just as engaging as if it was (maybe a little bit less banter)

Was your mom a gardener?’ I asked innocently.
‘What?’ Ren’s mouth hung open slightly.
‘Because a face like yours belongs planted on the ground.”

“Whatever! Go save a dolphin or something!”

He whirled around. “It’s a whale, Alex, a whale! That’s what I’m interested in saving.”

I threw up my arms. “What’s wrong with saving dolphins?”

I’m super in love with Aiden and Alex sometimes made feel like I wanted to hit he, but just sometimes

“I don’t want to know about love.’

‘But you should, my child. You need to know about love. The things people will do for love. All truths come down to love, do they not? One way or another, they do. See, there is a difference between love and need. Sometimes, what you feel is immediate and without rhyme or reason.’ She sat up a little straighter. ‘Two people see each across a room or their skin brushes. Their souls recognize the person as their own. It doesn’t need time to figure it. The soul always knows… whether it’s right or wrong.”

ohhhh and the best friend was a sweetheart !!

I just loved this series , I’m defo going to keep at it cause I’m a bit OCD and can’t stand not to finish a series once I started it …
another great book by a great author …

Prick (A Step Brother Romance #1)by Sabrina Paige

BOOK:  Prick (A Step Brother Romance #1)

MY RATING FOR IT: 4 stars

Caulter Sterling is a prick.
A filthy-mouthed, womanizing, crude, spoiled, arrogant prick.
The tattooed, pierced, panty-melting-hot son of a celebrity.
I hate him.
He’s slept his way through practically every girl at Brighton Academy.
Except for me.
I’m the good girl. The responsible girl. The 4.0, class president, studied-so-much-she-never-lost-the-big-V girl.
And in celebration of graduation and adulthood, I just made the worst decision in the history of ever.
I lost my V-card to the devil himself.
It was just one night. So what if it was mind-blowing? Hit it and quit it.
Except I just found out that my father – the Senator, the Presidential hopeful – is marrying Caulter’s mother. Oh, and this summer? We’re hitting the campaign trail.
One big happy family.
I’m totally f**ked.

This book was a nice little surprise; it had me very hot and bother, let me tell you!!!

Caulter seemed a bit childish at times, but we are talking 18 year old kids, so it’s understandable, but it was a fuuuuun read , no but about that …

Holly smokes…This book was HOT! There some steamy scenes and the some … It was an easy read ….I kept thinking that the climax (no pun intended) would arrive soon , but it kind of never did ….
Well it kind of did, but it was so mild that it was not that noticeable …
Very easy on the angst level, just what I was looking for to read between heavy books.
Either way a great book to have some fun … And maybe do other things!

Don’t want to spoil the plot , so I won’t give anything away , just be warned that there are some scenes that you’ll love !!

Social Media series by J.A. Huss

BOOK:  Social Media Series (Follow, Like, Block, Status, Profile and Home)

MY RATING FOR IT: 4 stars

# Women.

I fuck them. I use them. I pay them off. I find another. My demands are never denied. My contracts are always signed. They submit to me. Willingly.  Completely.  Temporarily. This is how it’s always been.

Until I saw that filthy tweet.

@VaughnAsher My bare pussy. Your tongue. #ThingsIThinkAboutToGetOff

“FilthyBlueBird” thinks she can tease me with hashtags and then hide behind a Twitter handle? She thinks I wouldn’t be more than happy to #RockHerFilthyWorld? She’s wrong.

Her online fantasy is about to collide with her public reality, and it’s about to happen… now.

Let’s begin by saying that these are 5 Novellas, and they are good, but they are very different as they progress…

This was my first J. A. Huss book, and I had heard so mucho good stuff about the books that I just had to give it a go! So I did.

It was GOOOOOOOOOD….  Let me tell you (J)  this books are very different from other novellas I’ve read , which was a great thing to begin with , they are so much fun , very easy to get suck in to actually , you don’t even know it and your hooked.

Just the concept of using the Social media and   a girl that was so in to it and the hot actor she dreams about was interesting and refreshing.

She is Grace Kinsella, and she is very much in to tweeter, but not just any kind of tweeter, she like dirty ones and specially about smoldering hot actor Vaugh Asher!!! And Grace is the queen of her group of tweeter fans

@VaughnAsher My bare pussy. Your  tongue.

She gets this vacation Price and she never in a million years thought that she would get to meet the actual Vaughn Asher in the flesh (literally)

Asher is a mayor celebrity on the rise and kind of douche at times; he does not have serious relationships, that is  a  well-known fact!

But they are both there and they are attracted to each other so why not try and play a bit right???!!

Well let’s say that he has some very interesting proclivities about how he likes his affairs and that will be kind of difficult to accept with a straight face for Grace.

Grace was so much fun to read, her mind was all over the place and she was hilarious and dirty !! (LOOOOVE HER!)

This series start  with  a very light theme , maybe a bit to light at first , which got me a bit annoyed at times , but as soon as I got to then next books I totally got why she was depicting her character that way , it gets more twisted and complicated as it moves along.

I like the firs book but after the second one I started to love the series.

I don’t want to spoil the fun of the book I just want to say that at first I was not sure about the books  , V Asher Was kind of a douche and his Dom thing was kind of meh ! But as the pages where rolling I started to get so in to the story and I just swoon with him and Grace , even though sometimes grace makes me want to punch her , but this books get better and better , and they have it all , romance , steamy sex , a mystery and thrills …
I’m so happy that I gave this series a chance , because I had it in my kindle for so long and I was kind of iffy about it , but now I’m so happy , and the last book was the best ending ,it felt  just right !!

I loved the evolution of these characters, and the story was everting I hope for and more…

I’m a fan for life….

Love and Lists (Chocoholics #1) by Tara Sivec

Love and lists

BOOK:Love and Lists by Tara Sivec

Love and Lists is the first book in the Chocolate Lovers spinoff – Chocoholics: The foul-mouthed offspring tell their stories.

Twenty-five-year-old Gavin Ellis has always had the love and support of his family ever since he was a little boy and couldn’t stop talking about his penis. He’s also always had their unsolicited advice and uncanny knack of embarrassing him at all costs. Now that he’s an adult and trying to convince the love of his life to love him back, things haven’t changed very much from when he was younger.

When Gavin’s best friend Tyler suggests he make a to-do list of items that will ensure he wins the girl, Gavin is one-hundred-percent on board: after a few six packs.

After puking in the shrubs, a bad experience with Viagra, a Sex-Ed course gone wrong, and a slew of other mishaps courtesy of his family and friends, Gavin is pretty sure this list will be the death of him.

Sometimes, trying to make someone love you with a list isn’t always the best idea. Especially when “Show her your penis” is the first “to-do” item…

This series is a favorite of mine, well this is actually kind of a spin of series, but the character are the same, but now it’s the kids that are getting in to trouble!!}

“You’re probably also wondering how in the hell I can possibly be twenty-five years old when just yesterday I was four. I know, it’s a tough pill to swallow. I’m not a foul-mouthed, cute little kid anymore. I’m now a foul-mouthed, cute adult.”

It seemed predestined to happen; one of Lisa’s girls was bound to get interested in the adorable Gavin!! , what can I say , Gavin was by far one of the best things in the Chocolate lover’s series , he was so funny I can’t even begin to tell you how much he made crack up!

(You should really read these books!!)

Well in this story, Gavin is 24 years old and is working in the family business ( sex toys and bake goods) he’s very happy with his Job , despite the awkwardness of selling stuff that are named after her mother ( funny!)

But Gavin has a secret, he’s been in love with his best friend Charlotte (best friend of Claire‘s daughter) and has absolutely no idea what to do. They are very close, but he is to afraid to tell her about his feeling, scared of being rejected.

I’m like a fucking dog in heat when it comes to her. My poor penis wants to hump her leg and she just wants to be friends. I feel bad for my penis. He’s had a rough life. I love my penis and he’s totally getting the shaft. Ha! See what I did there?

Charlotte has a new boyfriend (super funny character) and Gavin is determined to do something about it this time, because he’s crazy for her and doesn’t want anybody else.

Soooo he and his friend Tyler (who was amazing and made me spit my coffee laughing) make this list of things he has to do to win Charlotte over and convince her of his love for her or at least recognizer that she has feelings for him also.

They star to do this entire crazy things to get her attention, and everything  always back fires , and even as he thinks nobody knows about his feeling for Charlottes he soon realize that everyone know!! Everyone except for Charlotte her self.

Claire and Liz are putting together wedding arrangements and dreaming of granny names while poor Gavin is desperate to get Charlottes attention.

There are so many funny things ( the bushes thing and the Viagra thing , and

All the older character wants to put some input on how he should win her over, and that is so funny to read!!

I have to say something about Tyler, because I just find him to be sooooo funny and I can’t wait to read more about him (don’t want to spill the beans about that) but I look forward to that one!!

Shut up about my mother.’
‘No can do. She’s going to be mine one day. You should just start calling me dad now,’ he says nonchalantly.
‘I’m going to punch you right in the ball sack if you don’t shut up,’ I warn him.
‘Don’t take that tone with me, young man.'” -Tyler & Gavin

“I roofied you because I wanted you naked …. and afraid, ” Tyler says again in a sinister voice

On the other hand there’s Charlotte and she has some things she is hiding to , but you have to read ti to find out !!

I really like this one and I have to say that it renewed my lost enthusiasm about this series ( I kind of lost it a little after Troubles and Treat ) but I actually want to read the next one really bad , and it about Eva who I loved , because she was such a little bitch !!!

“Ava is like a praying mantis on crack. She will not only chew off his head after she has sex with him, she will have sex with his headless body afterwards and then light it on fire.”

So I really recommend this one to the people who want light easy funny read, no hard dramas in this one just light entertainment and easy laughs. And there’s sweet sweet Gavin which I just adore!!

What’s not to like about it …

Strings (Hard Rock Harlots #1)by Kendall Grey

BOOK: Strings by Kendall Grey

Free-spirited musician Letty Dillinger adheres to a strict, “no strings attached” policy when it comes to men. After a wild night of unabashed sex in a fancy hotel room, she never expects to see the adventurous stud she dubs “Shades” again. When her all-girl rock trio books a tour at the last minute as the opening act for their archenemies, Letty’s shocked to discover she knows the competition’s new lead singer. Intimately. Shades is no longer a one-night stand. Now he’s the guy she has to one-up on stage every night for the sake of her career.

Sharing close quarters on a bus with her sexy nemesis and his bad-boy buddies puts Letty’s Golden Rule to the test. On this tour, guitar strings aren’t the only things being played. And when heartstrings are pulled too hard, they’re bound to snap sooner or later.

I kept hearing about this book that was so great and had this warning at the start, because it was super raw and very raunchy!! So obviously I had to read it

WARNING: STRINGS is not suitable for slut shamers, uptight stone throwers, Holier-Than-Thou prudes, humorless virgins, persons with chronic neck or back pain, pearl-clutching bitties, those who disparage crude humor or vulgarity in their many forms, closed-minded people with sticks up their asses, or anyone under the age of 18. The vile, base language and shocking, unholy sexual acts contained herein are not condoned by anyone with a lick of sense and should certainly not be reproduced without proper training and protection. The potty-mouthed and perpetually horny “heroine” (the term is used loosely) of this book does not resemble a normal, well-adjusted, or remotely believable person in any way, shape, or form. The author acknowledges that the characters in this book are shallow and two-dimensional; the plot is both ridiculous and insipid. She makes no apologies for any of it.

I read it and it was a fantastic read!!! it was super funny and actually it was kind of dirty , but I love it , there is so much to pick and choose , I wouldn’t know where to start .

Let’s just say that I looooove Lety and Shades, they are the most real couple I’ve read in some time , they go for anything with no apologies , they do what they want when they want it!!

The book is about an all girl band called  “Cherry buzz Float “ a very good seventies rock band, but they are struggling to make it , they live and breathe music , but they are broke and need a good gig!!

Lety is depressed for this ,and at her birthday, she meets this hot mysterious guy who buy’s her a drink and takes her to his hopte room  (or maybe she takes him there  and a little extra too!!)

“I’m gonna need a strap-on, a dildo, some lube, condoms, and more of that tequila.”

“All I want for my birthday is to get fucked unconscious with no strings attached.”

“What a coincidence. I’ve got a big dick, a bar tab, and the local cab company’s number on speed dial.”

She call him shades( BECAUSE HE WEARS … SHADES )  and after some wild sex an a lot of drinking she plans on never seeing him again… right …. Not really!! Because the next day they find out that they will go on tour with this band that they hate and guess who the new lead singer of such band is?? yes , of course it’s shades!!!

But the guitar player form her band (Kate the bitch!!) hates Killer Dixon (the male band they go on tour with) and they must keep their secrecy about their meting and hook up .

“Sweet Baby Jeebus, if you’ll have mercy on me and not let Kate find out what I did with Shades, I won’t masturbate in confessional anymore, I swear. Amen.”

Sooo they try to act cool and all, but the attraction is super strong and they end up getting in a lot of funny places doing very naughty and dirty things.

This book has it all, lots of sex (anal play, M/M/F scenes, super hot dirty talk and lot’s more)

There’re some loving scenes to, especially when Lety and shades start to develop real feeling for each other.

“In this nasty-ass strip club bathroom full of pissing dudes and possible rogue ejaculators, Shades is no longer some guy I love fucking. He’s some guy I fucking love.”

I have never read this author before, but it was such a fun book to read, I mean the time just flew by, and even though some scenes are pretty graphic and very raunchy I like it , it felt real and it felt true to the characters.

“This might be the last time you get to drive the beef bus to tuna town,” I say. “You’d better make it good, so I don’t have any excuses to forget your hot ass.”

Besides it was a funny book and what better than a sexy , hot funny book with a little bit of drama !! right ???   …  right ??

“But by God, if I don’t get laid tonight, my cooter will go nuclear and wipe out a city block.”

Enough said !!  🙂

Red & Wolfe 1-4: The Complete Set: An Erotic Fairy Tale (Red & Wolfe #1-4) by Ella James

BOOK: Red & Wolfe  by Ella James

“An incredibly steamy take on Little Red Riding Hood with a naughtier and filthier big, bad Wolfe!” – The Rockstars of Romance

“There are times when you just need to sink your teeth into something that’s hot, keeps you entertained, piques your interest and leaves you begging for more. Well, the Red & Wolfe Series provided exactly that, and we loved it!” – Totally Booked Blog

“I never know what to expect, and Ms. James keeps shocking me!” – Bookworm Brandee

“Reading this is like being a three-year-old at the circus. There are just so many great things happening at once, you don’t know where to look first!” – WTF Are You Reading?

When Sarah “Red” Ryder loses her job as an art critic for a Boston newspaper, she’s brokenhearted. Worse than that? She’s broke. Her boyfriend recently left her, so she’s stuck paying her hefty apartment rent alone. After two months unemployed, there’s no money left. With no immediate family to turn to, Red reaches out to her estranged grandmother, a reclusive writer living on an island off the coast of Charleston. Several days later, Red receives $30,000 and an invitation to visit.

James Wolfe is not Red’s grandmother – but he’s the only person waiting for her at the boat dock. Red has something he needs. He won’t take “no” for an answer, and he doesn’t mind screwing her over to get it. He lost his conscience six years ago, when he went off the grid. Since then, life is about him – and the renowned oil paintings he does under the mysterious pseudonym “W.”

Until the moment he sees her. Then Red is all he wants. And Wolfe will have her – thoroughly.

These books were novellas, and very entertaining ones, they grab my attention at the start and never let me go.

The story is about a young journalist that has lost her job, her boyfriend and mostly all her money, she finds her self at the point of starvation , when she reluctantly tries to contact her only living relative, a  famous grandmother that she’s never met probably because she never look for her.

The grandmother makes contact and she goes to visit her in an island, but when she arrives there’s a man waiting for her ( a beautiful man)  he’s called James Wolfe ( but she doesn’t know this) and the lusty feelings are  undeniable between them , so much so that he takes her in the boat and she doesn’t protests ( at least not at first)

“I press my dick against her.

In the second book they pick up where we left of in the first book , right after he takes her in the boat , and then  they get to the island , and she realizes that the grandmother is dead and was he who contacted her , Red ( the girl) is very vulnerable and doesn’t know what to do , should she run for it or stay and figure him out.

She is most certainly attracted to him and they share amazing scenes together , so she stays; also she is broke and has nowhere to go

red and Wolfe

“I think you need a door that locks from the outside if you want to be sure you don’t fall legs-spread on my cock.”

“My sex-starved inner horn dog wags her tail.”

Wolfe has many secrets that he is holding, but none more damaging than murder…

The next book was hotter than all hell!!!! , Red finally understand who James really is and what happened to him, and she begins to see how troubled he is and how unfairly he was treated.

There are some super steamy scenes (the tree scene) and we get to see more of race0s story from his memories and flash backs. You should know that this one has a brutal cliffhanger that got me screaming for the last book.

“I don’t want to talk about art, Red. I don’t want to hear you talk about it, either. What I want is for you to suck my dick.”

What a domineering motherfucker. Who does he think he is?”

The last book was as hot as the other but there was a lot more action in this one , and some very unsavory characters.

All secrets are out, and some revelations left me in a daze, I just did not see that shit coming

We get the actual truth about his wife’s murder (cookie… what an ugly name!!!).

“You’re my little fuck doll. Don’t forget it.”

This book is super fun super fast read, and scorching hot, Miss James knows her stuff ladies!!!  And I’m her newest of funs for life!!!

Play of Light by Debra Doxer

play of light

BOOK: Play of Light by Debra Doxer

I lived in paradise, and I loved Spencer Pierce.

At fourteen, my life was perfect. The beach was my playground, and the boy who stole my heart lived just around the corner. But perfect never lasts. In one horrifying moment, I lost it all. My family was destroyed, and the boy I believed in turned his back on me. Paradise became a nightmare.

That was five years ago. Everything changed when we moved from our home by the sea. I’ve changed, and I don’t like who I’ve become. I miss the smiling, carefree beach girl who disappeared that terrible night. I want to find her again. I want to face the people we ran from so long ago. Most of all, I have to face Spencer. So I can prove that when he broke my heart, he didn’t break me.

But when I see him again, Spencer Pierce is no longer the boy from my memories. He’s now a man who could devastate me if I let him. He watches me when he thinks I’m not looking. There’s regret written on his face when he’s near. Each time I see him, my heart aches for what might have been, and I think his does too. How can I convince myself I’m over him when I suspect he never got over me?

This is my first Debra Doxer book, and I had absolutely no idea what to expect , I started it with an opened mind , and I found my self getting wrap up in the plot.

The story is about a girl named Sarah and an older boy Spencer , they live near each other , but they have very different lives , while Sarah has a loving family , Spencer lost both parents and is living with his abusive uncle, Sarah tries to be his friend , and falls for him in the process, he shows that he cares for her (maybe too much)

“I knew it would be you,” he said. “I knew you were the one to stay away from.” Blinking rapidly, I reared my head back at his words. He sat there, dangling his hands between his bent knees. My eyes burned with unshed tears. I hadn’t imagined it. He was distancing himself from me on purpose. What did he mean, I was the one to stay away from? Because I saw too much?

But there’s an event that changes their friendship and their lives are never the same when  they get separated.

“I fell in love with Spencer Pierce the day he saved me from the Pirates.”

Years pass and they see each other after she goes back to her old town for the answers that she needs to move on , but she cant’ denied the feeling that she still has for Spencer and apparently neither does he.

Would you ever love me enough to want to spend forever with me?”

“Music did save me,” he agreed. “But it wasn’t the only thing.” He cleared his throat and gland away for a moment.

One could think that this a very hard genre to write about because there are so many novels about young adults and their quest to their past to find happiness after some tragedy, but this book is refreshing , it’s a simple plot but very well-developed, and very enticing to read , the characters on Sarah and Spencer are lovely and complicated , full of deep feelings ans longing.

I didn’t know what was going to happen next and that was one of the reason to be so in to this book ,  and there was kind of intrigue plot also , but the love story was beautiful as well

I don’t want to explained the plot I just want  to say that this book was very fun to read it was an easy read, and it stirs something in me , I kind of remember what it was like to love at such a young age.the first and true love ,and the hurt of feeling the lost of it.

I really liked it was very nicely written and very endearing

One Week Girlfriend/Second Chance Boyfriend by Monica Murphy

BOOK: One Week Girlfriend/Second Chance Boyfriend by Monica Murphy

Temporary. That one single word best describes my life these last few years. I’m working at a temporary job until I can finally break free. I’m my little brother’s temporary mother since our mom doesn’t give a crap about either of us. And I’m that temporary girl all the guys want to get with because I give it up so easily. According to the rumors, at least.

But now I’m the temporary girlfriend of Drew Callahan, college football legend and all around golden guy. He’s beautiful, sweet—and he’s hiding way more secrets than I am. He’s brought me into this fake life where everyone seems to hate me. And everyone seems to want something from him. The only thing he seems to want though is…

I don’t know what to believe anymore. All I know is, I think Drew needs me. And I want to be there for him.

This series is one that I been meaning to read for a long time , but life kept getting in the  way and I put it on-line several times, but I’ve finally read it and it was pretty awesome , I must say so my self.

The story is about Drew and Fable. She is a hard-working girl, that works at the local bar ,and is desperate to get as much money as she can , because, she is supporting her drunk mother and her little brother.

One week girlfirend

It’s so stupid, but I let guys use me because for that one fleeting moment, when he’s focusing all of his attention on me and no one else, it feels good. It helps me forget that no one really cares.

Drew is the football star in town , he is gorgeous but is kind of recluse ,that makes it even more strange when he approaches Fable and asks her to be his girlfriend for a weekend.

From the outside, my family looks perfect. Well, as perfect as a family can be with one dead mother, and one dead sister. A fucked up stepmother and a cold as hell father. Yeah. Real perfect.

She can’t refuse the money  so she goes along , they get to know each other on the ride and he is hiding something but she can’t see what it is yet  ,  but when they meet his  family we can see that something very wird is going on then everything goes down hill, his step mother is clearly in to him!! and she is not to subtle about it either , and the father is totally oblivious to the situation.

Fable and Drew are getting closer and te step mom is getting bitchier, and more reckless about her feelings for Drew , and at that point we kind of figured that something happened between them , but the truth is worse than what I thought at first.

“He might be more trouble than he’s worth but I don’t think so. This man came into my life for some reason. Just as I came into his. Maybe we’re supposed to help each other cope.
Or give each other hope.”

This first book is very entertaining and the relationship is very strong between this two characters, there’s a lot of steam int his book , they get together and it’s smoking hot , but there’s a lot of baggage too.

“I want to map every inch of her skin with my mouth. I want to sit with her in my arms and kiss her for hours, until our lips are swollen and our jaws are tired. I want to know what she looks like when she comes. And I want to be the one who makes her come with my name falling from her lips.”

This book left with a cliffhanger , but a not so bad one , because they get separated but there’s the hope of them getting back together.

It’s been a few month since the last book and Fable is working in a really nice restaurant , Drew is hurting and trying to get better so he can be with the woman he loves.

They see each other by chance in the restaurant and he tries to get her to forgive him , but it’ to hard for her, she feels so sad by him leaving her after everything they went thru.

My mom was pretty dead on when she named me Fable, wasn’t she? I don’t feel real to anyone.”
“You’re real to me.”

Eventually she realizes that they can’t be apart , wich was great because they belong together and I couldn’t stand it for one more chapter.

This book has some mayor screwed up situations , because there’s the little brother and the drunk mother , and let’s not forget the bitch of a step mother, son yeah!! lot’s of os juicy stuff.

I don’t want to give too much away so I’ll keep it short… but I really think this is s very good book , and the second book is HOT !! I mean scorching hot …so what’s not to like.

What If (If Only… #2) by A.J. Pine

BOOK: What If (If Only… #2) by A.J. Pine

Sometimes it takes letting go of the past to find out who you want to be.

During his semester abroad, Griffin Reed almost gave his heart to a girl who loved someone else. Lesson learned. Now he’s home, where following in his father’s footsteps may not be what he wants, but it’s what his parents expect. It might be taking the easy road, but he doesn’t see a way out.

Something that could have killed Maggie Kendall took away the person she used to be instead. Her condition makes her dependent on sticky notes, photos, and medication just to get through each day. The last thing she needs is a distraction—or someone new to disappoint.

What they refuse to see is they are perfect for each other. Maggie makes Griffin want to be a better man, and he makes her believe a future is possible. But these two have to find a way to share the secrets ripping them apart, if they’re ever going to have a chance at happiness.

First I have to say that I started this book without reading the first part , so I can honestly say that it’s totally a standalone book , you don’t need the first book to like this one.

secondly I must say that even though it started kind of slow for me at first , it pick up after a few pages and I got really in to it.

I have never read anything from A.J.Pine before, but I most certainly will ,because I really like her writing style, it flows nice and smoothly, the characters are endearing and relatable, and the story was entertaining , so much so that I read this one in one sitting.

Maggie is a Young woman who had a life changing event in her life, she survive some sort of medical condition( it’s not fully explained until later on) wich left her with a frail mind and scared.she has the help of her friends , and her sticky notes  to help her remember the thing she may forget about her every day life , but her life will never be like it was before and she knows it .

Griffin is at college , living in his home again after studying abroad and returning home heart-broken a few years earlier. He hasn’t recover fully from that heart-break, and it’s pretty much lost , not really sure what to do with his life. He’s been fighting, drinking and living day-to-day , trying to stick to his parents plan for him , because he must step in to his father shoes and take on his company, whether he likes it or not.

Both of them are very much trying to stay focus on their task, but after they meet  when he pick her up after she loses her bus , everything changes , because Griffin is intrigued about this beautiful  Girl, there’s something about her that he can´t forget.

They start to meet and decide to have a no strings kind of relationship , but early on they both realize that it’s fast becoming something more , and they are both scared to get deeper and reveal their secrets , especially Maggie who feels that she will be a burden to heavy to carry.

…So I can’t say much more about the plot without spoiling it , I just have to say that the story was lovely , and sweet , at some point I did wanted to slap one or the other , but eventually I calmed down.

I really liked Griffin, he was a very dreamy guy , wich is why I’m torn about reading the first book, I don’t know if I want to read a story where he’s rejected, and Noah felt kind of Blah! in the few moment we see him in this book … so I guess I’ll figure that out eventually.

There is a fair amount of steam in this book , not so descriptive but it complements the pace of the book, and is very nicely developed.

I really likes Miles!!! Maggi’s friend , he was great, super supporting and very fun to read.

All in all I really liked the book , it was a fun, sweet ,very entertaining story , and I will definitely read more from this author.

*I received an ARC copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*
