Pulse – The Complete Series (Pulse #1-4) by Deborah Bladon

BOOK: Pulse – The Complete Series  by Deborah Bladon

Jessica Roth dumped her boyfriend, moved to New York and wanted desperately to start her new life off with a bang – a literal mind-blowing, soul-shaking night of pure, raw, memory making sex.

She thought her one time chance encounter with attorney, Nathan Moore, in a hotel room would become a jumping point for her exciting, single and adventurous life in the city.
One night turned into two, into four, and into more – always at the same place, always at the same time – no last names, no personal details, and absolutely no complications.
What Jessica doesn’t count on is that in Nathan’s world boundaries are made to be pushed.
He wanted her in ways he promised he never would. She wanted him in ways she couldn’t admit.
When their lives ultimately collide outside the walls of the hotel room, Jessica is forced to face the truth about the only man who has ever made her pulse race and her body ache with unadulterated pleasure.

PULSE – Part Two
Nathan promised Jessica just one thing during those nights in his hotel room – sex unlike anything she had experienced before. She thought it would be simple, but with a man like Nathan, that’s not possible. He was complex, determined and too tempting to resist.
When her life intersects with his in the most unexpected way, she realizes that fate and chance don’t exist in his world. When Nathan wants something, or someone, he’ll have it, regardless of the cost.
As Jessica confronts the past she ran away from, the present that consumes her and what it all means for her future, one brief moment changes absolutely everything.
There is no one who can shield her from what happens next.

PULSE – Part Three
The story continues…
Jessica wanted to believe Nathan was a changed man. The lust filled promises he made in bed are no match for the reality that she’s now holding in the palm of her hand. Sex drives men like Nathan Moore. She suspected it, then experienced it and now there’s absolutely no denying it.
She knows what the right thing to do is. He knows that he’s never met anyone like her.
Jessica struggles to forget him as Nathan’s desire for her consumes him. His compulsive need to possess her pushes him in ways that will change them both forever.
Just how far is Nathan Moore willing to go to have the one woman he claims he can’t live without?

PULSE – Part Four
The conclusion to The Pulse Series…
Jessica Roth thought she’d found the one man who could fulfill her in every way. He was gorgeous, controlling, amazing in bed and said everything that she desperately wanted to hear. That was, until she heard him say the one thing she never suspected was true.
Nathan Moore says he has his reasons for doing the things that break her heart. She knows that she can’t continue to live in a world where nothing makes sense.
As Jessica weaves her way through a maze of lies, half-truths and coincidences, she begins to see everyone in her world for who they really are. Old friends become the enemy, new friends become allies and the one man she can’t be close to, becomes the only person who can give her what she really needs.
They promised each other there would be no complications. It’s a promise neither of them can keep.

The Blurb say’s  the general idea of what this story is about , I just wanted to say that , since the first book that I reed from Deborah Blandon I’ve become a huge fan , but to this day I’m definitely sure that Pulse is my favorite story so far .

This one was so raw, and so hot that I was red up to my ears… I kid you not, who knew that Nathan had it in him!!! I certainly didn’t.

He seemed clear cut and calm as a second character, but as a leading men he was sex on legs, I mean he was of the charts HOT.

Let’s not forget about Jessica, oh my my my … she was very uninhibited (I thought that the Alexa character was the raciest of them all, clearly I was mistaken)

This book is very graphic and at times very sensual in it’s description, but other times a bit more harsh, I got the constant feeling that Nathan was more than a little bit obsessed with sex, because he seemed kind of desperate in some chapters I mean it was a lot, but it was so god… it got me all tingly (in the best way)   while reading it.

I think 3  books  would have been enough, because it started to get a bit repetitive after a while , but I’m not complaining , I’m just stating a point ,  I’m a self confessed  smut lover so bring the chapters on and on !!!

I mean we are not talking poetic dialog and sweet nothings here, this is the smuttiest smut and it gets the job done in a gooood way I may ad, so there you go, that’s a winner in my eyes in all the ways that it counts.

This book is by far Deborah Blandon at her best, I love it, and to think that I used to find the Nathan Character a bit boring in the first series “Obsessed” who knew right?!

Exposed by Deborah Bladon

BOOK: Exposed by Deborah Bladon

MY RATING FOR IT: 3 1/2 stars

Harvard student, Sadie Lockwood, was given a second chance and she’s determined to make it count. She planned her life out with precision and she refuses to be deterred from her course. She knows what she wants and that is to honor the person who lost their life to save hers.

When Hunter Reynolds steps into Sadie’s world, she is knocked off of her axis. He’s bold, charismatic and intense. She’s committed to not let him lead her off her prearranged path but he’s persuasive and a little fun never hurt anyone, right?

As Sadie sets out on a journey to pull back the layers of Hunter’s emotional façade, she begins to question the very heart that beats within her. Will shedding her own inhibitions help Sadie to accept the man she craves or will everything change once all is exposed?

Well , this is the third Deborah Blandon series I’ve read , and as the last one (obsessed), it was good , not great but a fun read , very easy and fast to read.

The story follows Sadie , she’s studying to become a doctor and is set on becoming someone important , because she had a very big second chance in life and she is not willing to waste it ( she had mayor surgery).

At a fund-raiser for her mother, she meets this beautiful sexy very handsome guy , who may or may not be flirting with her…( she is very shy , and not too experienced so she doesn’t know) after and embarrassing moment between them she is back in her shell.

The guy goes to the bistro where she works to seek her out and take her to a date… and she is over the moon about it , but she clearly is wondering why such a stunning guy would want her ( she think she is not very pretty… don’t they always???!!)

Eventually they get together and she is so happy , but then some stuff starts to come out and she realizes he is lying to her , he says he’s going somewhere and he is not there, or he suddenly disappears… this leaves Sadie very hurt.

But he keeps going after her and begging her to be with him… and she does but at some point there’s a discovery that it’s too much ( it’s related to her heart!!!)

I must say that the critics towards this series are very mix … more bad than good , but I like it , I think I like it more than obsessed, this one has more meet to it , and he is such a bastard sometimes I just wanted to kick his head !! but after a while we get to know why he is doing this very mean thing to poor Sadie.

I like Sadie , even though  she was a very shelter character , she actually evolves during the book , she gets a back bone, and stands up for her self , well eventually !!

The sex scenes were good, maybe a little similar to the previous series , but I mean, whats not to like !? a little repetitive at times but ok.

What I didn’t like was the way the Alexa character was presented , this may be a little judgmental of me , but since I’ve read Vain first , I had a different feel of the Character and they way she was portrait  was kind of sad , she seemed like a desperate man hungry sex addict, I think it was too much.

There where some good cliffhanger between the books and it really gave me the push to keep reading the story .

Soooo… all in all , a good series , not necessarily a great one , but fun for an afternoon read with all the goodies that we like ( hunky men , steamy sex, a lot of angst, secrets, and a HEA)

Obsessed by Deborah Bladon

osesed series

BOOK: Obsessed by Deborah Bladon

Independent jewelry designer, Ivy Marlow, had it all – the man, the security and the ring. Now, all she has to her name are a broken engagement, the crushing worry of a flailing business and the haunting feeling of complete betrayal.

The last thing Ivy expected to find attending a posh New York art show was him. Jax Walker is everything she doesn’t need but can’t resist. He’s gorgeous, brazen, unapologetic and powerful. He becomes the escape Ivy has been craving and longing for. He knows what she needs, anticipates her desires and offers it all to her, but at what price?

What once seemed to be a chance encounter designed by fate becomes more enigmatic than the man himself. Jax is full of secrets and Ivy is about to learn that his obsession for her runs deeper and darker than she ever imagined.

Well , this is a series of 4 book that caught my eye a long time ago… I was not sure what it was about , but since I’ve read the Vain series and it was kind of good , I thought what the hell!! let’s give it  a try…

I have to say that it was actually kind of good, I mean it was not GREAT !! but it was fun and easy to read , wich is a plus …

The story is about this Jewelry designer named Ivy and this business man called Jax, they meet at an art gallery and instantly feell an intense  attraction , but as Ivy is about to find out , it’s not by chance that they meet , because Jax has been looking  her up for a long time , and it’s not clear if his intentions are as good as he says they are.

Ivy is just coming out from a bad break up , she was about to get married , but his soon to be husband was on the cheating side of the scale…

Soooooo …. She is attracted to Jax but very fearful about starting something , But as she can resist him she fall under his spell…

They get all HOT AND HEAVY  and I mean very Hot !!! ( it was kind of the most redeeming thing from the story,  that and his alpha mens persona that I kind of totally dig about male characters).

Some of the Character where very annoying , especially Ivy’s friend , she was kind of an asshole… and dont’ get me started on her ex…

At times even Ivy was kind of annoying , but it got better after a while.

Well I don’t want to explain the plot because it get very twisty, but I think it was fun and a very entertaining  read, like I said before I didn’t love it but I like it enough that I will read the next series form Deborah Blandon.

Vain – Part One-Two and Three by Deborah Bladon

BOOK: Vain Series – Part One-Two and Three by Deborah Bladon

That’s all Noah Foster wanted when Alexa Jackson showed up at his apartment.

After returning from a semester in Paris, Alexa is back in her hometown of Boston and looking for anything but the drama that surrounds Noah. He’s intense, gifted, famous and a bastard through and through.

Alexa doesn’t take life too seriously. Noah doesn’t do calm and easygoing.

Their unexpected meeting sets them both on a course towards an unlikely connection. As Noah embarks on a journey to teach school teacher Alexa the ways of his dark and mysterious world, she’s fighting her own demons and the memory of a stranger in Paris.

When Alexa’s past suddenly becomes her present, she’s forced to face the reality of whether the passionate moments she’s spent in Noah’s arms, in his bed, and in his life mean anything to him, or has it all been in vain?

First I have to tell you that this are novellas (3 of them )  , so you have to buy them all or you get with a monster cliffhanger.

I’m very surprised because I didn’t have much faith in them but I really like them .. like a lot , the start of the story was kind of in your face!  but it got my attention immediately, I mean when you start  a book with  a line like ….

“you are staring at my Dick…

…I am . I Can’t even deny it.”

Theres nothing to do but to pay attention and enjoy the ride…

The story is about Alexa and Noah, she is a teacher who has  just come back from a semester in Paris , and is escaping a bad relationship.

she is helping a friend with a delivery , and when they open the door Noah, the naked man shows up.

Noah is a majorly Known photographer (he likes to shoot naked  women body’s ,while he is in the buff… part of his process)

They meet and he is  beautiful as he is an  asshole , but he sees something in her that makes him want to hire her to take her pictures, and that’s where the real fun begins.

The story is very hot and very sweet at times, I didn’t like the secondary characters that much do…

But the Alexa and Noah couple was amazing…. every book ends in a big Cliffy so make shure to buy all 3 of them.

I don’t want to give much of the plot away , so as my finishing words I’ll  just Say that these books ( Vain, Ruin, Expossed, Obsessed etc. ) have a reading order wich a clearly did not take in to consideration when I started this one , but I don’t think that it was a big deal , besides some side character everything was about the main couple so nothing was lost.

All in all I found it to be  great read and I’m definitely buying the other books from this author .
