SYNOPSYS

Love and Lists is the first book in the Chocolate Lovers spinoff – Chocoholics: The foul-mouthed offspring tell their stories.

Twenty-five-year-old Gavin Ellis has always had the love and support of his family ever since he was a little boy and couldn’t stop talking about his penis. He’s also always had their unsolicited advice and uncanny knack of embarrassing him at all costs. Now that he’s an adult and trying to convince the love of his life to love him back, things haven’t changed very much from when he was younger.

When Gavin’s best friend Tyler suggests he make a to-do list of items that will ensure he wins the girl, Gavin is one-hundred-percent on board: after a few six packs.

After puking in the shrubs, a bad experience with Viagra, a Sex-Ed course gone wrong, and a slew of other mishaps courtesy of his family and friends, Gavin is pretty sure this list will be the death of him.

Sometimes, trying to make someone love you with a list isn’t always the best idea. Especially when “Show her your penis” is the first “to-do” item…

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT IT 

This series is a favorite of mine, well this is actually kind of a spin of series, but the character are the same, but now it’s the kids that are getting in to trouble!!}

“You’re probably also wondering how in the hell I can possibly be twenty-five years old when just yesterday I was four. I know, it’s a tough pill to swallow. I’m not a foul-mouthed, cute little kid anymore. I’m now a foul-mouthed, cute adult.”

It seemed predestined to happen; one of Lisa’s girls was bound to get interested in the adorable Gavin!! , what can I say , Gavin was by far one of the best things in the Chocolate lover’s series , he was so funny I can’t even begin to tell you how much he made crack up!

(You should really read these books!!)

Well in this story, Gavin is 24 years old and is working in the family business ( sex toys and bake goods) he’s very happy with his Job , despite the awkwardness of selling stuff that are named after her mother ( funny!)

But Gavin has a secret, he’s been in love with his best friend Charlotte (best friend of Claire‘s daughter) and has absolutely no idea what to do. They are very close, but he is to afraid to tell her about his feeling, scared of being rejected.

I’m like a fucking dog in heat when it comes to her. My poor penis wants to hump her leg and she just wants to be friends. I feel bad for my penis. He’s had a rough life. I love my penis and he’s totally getting the shaft. Ha! See what I did there?

Charlotte has a new boyfriend (super funny character) and Gavin is determined to do something about it this time, because he’s crazy for her and doesn’t want anybody else.

Soooo he and his friend Tyler (who was amazing and made me spit my coffee laughing) make this list of things he has to do to win Charlotte over and convince her of his love for her or at least recognizer that she has feelings for him also.

They star to do this entire crazy things to get her attention, and everything  always back fires , and even as he thinks nobody knows about his feeling for Charlottes he soon realize that everyone know!! Everyone except for Charlotte her self.

Claire and Liz are putting together wedding arrangements and dreaming of granny names while poor Gavin is desperate to get Charlottes attention.

There are so many funny things ( the bushes thing and the Viagra thing , and

All the older character wants to put some input on how he should win her over, and that is so funny to read!!

I have to say something about Tyler, because I just find him to be sooooo funny and I can’t wait to read more about him (don’t want to spill the beans about that) but I look forward to that one!!

‘Shut up about my mother.’
‘No can do. She’s going to be mine one day. You should just start calling me dad now,’ he says nonchalantly.
‘I’m going to punch you right in the ball sack if you don’t shut up,’ I warn him.
‘Don’t take that tone with me, young man.'” -Tyler & Gavin

“I roofied you because I wanted you naked …. and afraid, ” Tyler says again in a sinister voice

On the other hand there’s Charlotte and she has some things she is hiding to , but you have to read ti to find out !!

I really like this one and I have to say that it renewed my lost enthusiasm about this series ( I kind of lost it a little after Troubles and Treat ) but I actually want to read the next one really bad , and it about Eva who I loved , because she was such a little bitch !!!

“Ava is like a praying mantis on crack. She will not only chew off his head after she has sex with him, she will have sex with his headless body afterwards and then light it on fire.”

So I really recommend this one to the people who want light easy funny read, no hard dramas in this one just light entertainment and easy laughs. And there’s sweet sweet Gavin which I just adore!!

SYNOPSIS

Claire is a twenty-something, single mom that grudgingly helps her best friend sell sex toys while she attempts to make enough money to start her own business to give her foul-mouthed, but extremely loveable (when he’s asleep) toddler a better life.

When Carter, the one-night-stand from her past that changed her life forever, shows up in her hometown bar without any recollection of her besides her unique chocolate scent, Claire will make it a point that he remembers her this time.

With Carter’s undisguised shock at suddenly finding out he has a four-year-old son and Claire’s panic that her stretch marks and slim to none bedroom experience will send the man of her dreams heading for the hills, the pair will do whatever they can to get their happily ever after.

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT IT 

This book it’s just great , there’s not other word about it , it made me laugh so hard from he first page on, it was funny , smart and very truthful at times , no sugar-coating anything in here.

Claire met Carter at a frat party , and they instantly clicked, so much so, that she felt it was time to surrender her V card to someone, and who better than him?? he was gorgeous, nice, and funny , they even shared the same taste in movies.

“He was so pretty I wanted to frame him and put him on my nightstand in a totally non-creepy, non-Hannibal Lector skin-suit-wearing kind of way.”

“I’m a quirky, intelligent, dark-haired chick!   Me, me, me, pick me!   And who the hell keeps whining and ruining my perfect moment?   I will cut a bitch.”

And soo lets cut to a few weeks and BAM!! Clair is pregnant , and Carter is nowhere to be found. claire leaves school and starts to work in a bar to support his son Gavin, but with the help of her friends Lisa  and Jim , she find’s her self in new line of work.

“I was going to have to tell people I got fired from selling dildos. I can’t even sell fake cocks to a room full or horny women. How do you come back from that shit?”

While working on the bar one night Carter appears and everything unravels, claire clearly still have feelings for him , so does he for her. but he doesn’t know about Gavin.

Gavin is one of the best things from this book , he is hilarious!! the best child character in years to come

“Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do, watcha gonna do when they cut your wiener,” Gavin sang as he pointed his gun at random objects.
“Wow, cops have gotten pretty hardcore lately” Carter muttered.”

So carter finds him self with new-found parenthood and the love of his life, Claire is starting a new business , a new relationship  with no clue on how to navigate this new territory ,while trying to raised a semi normal toddler.

“I had been out of the game for too long. I couldn’t even get drunk and flirt anymore. I could however, get drunk and look like a stroke victim.”

These character are the funniest I have seen in a long time, and the things that they do are just too much to even begin to explain.

The supporting characters are as good as the main ones ,  i can only conclude that  Tara Sivec is a genius !!!

I don’t want to give too much away , and you should know right from the start that this one is a funny story , with little angst and lots of love and friendship, but a bit on the light side of things, so that may be why I gave it 4 and not 5 stars.

I soooo recommend this if you want to have a good laugh and just kick back and relax a bit.
