SYNOPSIS

On the heels of college graduation and the unexpected death of her mother, Emily Cooper moves to New York City to join her boyfriend for a fresh start. Dillon Parker has been sweet, thoughtful, and generous through Emily’s loss, and she can’t imagine her life without him—even as her inner voice tells her to go slow.

Then she meets Gavin Blake. A rich and notorious playboy, Gavin is dangerously sexy and charming as hell. Their first encounter is brief, but it’s enough to inflame Emily’s senses. When their paths cross again through an unexpected mutual acquaintance, she tries to deny the connection she feels, but Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome won’t let go so easily.

As she discovers Gavin’s pain-filled past and Dillon’s true nature begins to surface, Emily knows she must take action or risk destroying everyone—including herself. But how can she choose when she can’t trust her own heart?

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT IT

Emily Cooper, is just fresh out of college and she moved to the city with her long time boyfriend Dillon, her life is outside down after her mother’s death.

The relationship is getting very serious as Dillon apparent rise in his job.

Emily doesn’t feel she is ready to live with him so she loves with her friend Olivia and while she job hunt for something related to her studies she decides to work at a local Dinner.

The very first day on the job, she is asked to make a delivery and there’s where things get a bit complicated, because she meets handsome billionaire Gavin Blake!! (Swoon), she is immediately super drawn to him and him to her, is beyond what they can understand, and as Gavin tries to pursue her, she misled him with a fake name.

But as always nothing is that easy and fate decides that they should meet again setting a terrible and twisted love triangle between two so called friends and the woman they both want.

A lot of terrible thing happened and I kind of hated the heroin At times , because she was so friggin weak that was unbearable at times , but after a while she found her lady balls and got with the program , because I have to say that Dillon ( the boyfriend is the douchiest of douches!!)

The second book finally gave an Emily a bit more decisive, and thanks good because I was ready to scream!! I mean Gavin was dreamy and she was so damn insecure and accepting all the stupid things Dillon did to her … I was beside my self with Dillon’s actions.

Well the second book is a loooot better, and the surprises keep coming, but I can’t say what happened or I’ll ruin it for you …

I do must say that there are some really steamy scenes (and a bit of kind of cheesy ones too) .

I did like the books , I just didn’t looooove the books , and maybe I was expecting to much due to the great reviews , but to me the heroine was not up to the amazing leading man … she was to weak and to sorry for herself all the damn time and that was kind of a turn of for me .

The secondary characters where not explored, so there’s not much to say bout them.

The highlight of the book is Gavin, he was great and I love him.

An Ok read, a bit frustrating at times, but good enough that I felt compelled to read both books.

Pulse – The Complete Series (Pulse #1-4) by Deborah Bladon

BOOK: Pulse – The Complete Series  by Deborah Bladon

MY RATING FOR IT: 4 stars

SYNOPSIS

Jessica Roth dumped her boyfriend, moved to New York and wanted desperately to start her new life off with a bang – a literal mind-blowing, soul-shaking night of pure, raw, memory making sex.

She thought her one time chance encounter with attorney, Nathan Moore, in a hotel room would become a jumping point for her exciting, single and adventurous life in the city.
One night turned into two, into four, and into more – always at the same place, always at the same time – no last names, no personal details, and absolutely no complications.
What Jessica doesn’t count on is that in Nathan’s world boundaries are made to be pushed.
He wanted her in ways he promised he never would. She wanted him in ways she couldn’t admit.
When their lives ultimately collide outside the walls of the hotel room, Jessica is forced to face the truth about the only man who has ever made her pulse race and her body ache with unadulterated pleasure.

PULSE – Part Two
Nathan promised Jessica just one thing during those nights in his hotel room – sex unlike anything she had experienced before. She thought it would be simple, but with a man like Nathan, that’s not possible. He was complex, determined and too tempting to resist.
When her life intersects with his in the most unexpected way, she realizes that fate and chance don’t exist in his world. When Nathan wants something, or someone, he’ll have it, regardless of the cost.
As Jessica confronts the past she ran away from, the present that consumes her and what it all means for her future, one brief moment changes absolutely everything.
There is no one who can shield her from what happens next.

PULSE – Part Three
The story continues…
Jessica wanted to believe Nathan was a changed man. The lust filled promises he made in bed are no match for the reality that she’s now holding in the palm of her hand. Sex drives men like Nathan Moore. She suspected it, then experienced it and now there’s absolutely no denying it.
She knows what the right thing to do is. He knows that he’s never met anyone like her.
Jessica struggles to forget him as Nathan’s desire for her consumes him. His compulsive need to possess her pushes him in ways that will change them both forever.
Just how far is Nathan Moore willing to go to have the one woman he claims he can’t live without?

PULSE – Part Four
The conclusion to The Pulse Series…
Jessica Roth thought she’d found the one man who could fulfill her in every way. He was gorgeous, controlling, amazing in bed and said everything that she desperately wanted to hear. That was, until she heard him say the one thing she never suspected was true.
Nathan Moore says he has his reasons for doing the things that break her heart. She knows that she can’t continue to live in a world where nothing makes sense.
As Jessica weaves her way through a maze of lies, half-truths and coincidences, she begins to see everyone in her world for who they really are. Old friends become the enemy, new friends become allies and the one man she can’t be close to, becomes the only person who can give her what she really needs.
They promised each other there would be no complications. It’s a promise neither of them can keep.

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT IT

The Blurb say’s  the general idea of what this story is about , I just wanted to say that , since the first book that I reed from Deborah Blandon I’ve become a huge fan , but to this day I’m definitely sure that Pulse is my favorite story so far .

This one was so raw, and so hot that I was red up to my ears… I kid you not, who knew that Nathan had it in him!!! I certainly didn’t.

He seemed clear cut and calm as a second character, but as a leading men he was sex on legs, I mean he was of the charts HOT.

Let’s not forget about Jessica, oh my my my … she was very uninhibited (I thought that the Alexa character was the raciest of them all, clearly I was mistaken)

This book is very graphic and at times very sensual in it’s description, but other times a bit more harsh, I got the constant feeling that Nathan was more than a little bit obsessed with sex, because he seemed kind of desperate in some chapters I mean it was a lot, but it was so god… it got me all tingly (in the best way)   while reading it.

I think 3  books  would have been enough, because it started to get a bit repetitive after a while , but I’m not complaining , I’m just stating a point ,  I’m a self confessed  smut lover so bring the chapters on and on !!!

I mean we are not talking poetic dialog and sweet nothings here, this is the smuttiest smut and it gets the job done in a gooood way I may ad, so there you go, that’s a winner in my eyes in all the ways that it counts.

This book is by far Deborah Blandon at her best, I love it, and to think that I used to find the Nathan Character a bit boring in the first series “Obsessed” who knew right?!
